Thank you for your interest in Volunteer Services. Volunteers are an important part of our Jewish Hospital community and we welcome your application to get involved. We believe that you can make a difference. See below for information on our Adult Volunteer and Jewish Hospital/Red Cross VolunTeen programs.
Along with the contribution of your time, we welcome your donations of books, magazines, videos and children’s and adults DVDs to provide to our patients during their stay at The Jewish Hospital. Please call the volunteer office at 513-686-5330 for more details on donations.
Pet Therapy

Volunteer Services also offers pet therapy in order to reduce anxiety and depression associated with hospitalization to patients who request a visit. All pet therapy dogs have been trained and certified as therapy or “emotional” service dogs, through Therapy Dogs International (TDI) and are accompanied by their volunteer (owner). Only TDI dogs may visit. Please contact Volunteer Services if you have a canine interested in being a pet therapy dog or if you know of a patient who would like a visit.
Adult Volunteers

Opportunities for adult volunteers include clerical work, visiting patients with a book cart to offer books and magazines, flower delivery, assisting and directing patients and visitors, waiting rooms, emergency department assistance, senior care preferred program and supporting the spiritual care staff. Groups are also encouraged to inquire about special projects, not limited to on-site work.
